Dr. A. Dean Yancey and his wife Pat came to Providence Baptist Church in the spring of 1999 from Cleveland, Tennessee. They have two children, Dean Jr. and Lisa, and 5 granddaughters.

Brother Dean has been a Chaplain at Morgan County Regional Prison in Wartburg, TN for the past 17 years. He has also had many years experience in counseling.

Dean received an Associates of Arts Degree in 1977 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1979. In 1982 he completed his Masters Degree. In the fall of 1996 he became a Doctor of Divinity. In 2002 he achieved a Doctor of Theology Degree. He has received several Honorary Awards from the State of Tennessee.

Dean and his twin brother were called into the ministry from a singing career. We are all blessed to have our pastor bring a word from God to us in song as well as being a dynamic preacher.
